Terms of Use

Last updated: 18 August 2026

These terms cover the Alfredo application for macOS and this website. By installing or using Alfredo you agree to them. They are written to be read, not to be skipped.

Who you are dealing with

Alfredo is made by Iurii Beliakov, an individual entrepreneur (autónomo) registered in Valencia, Spain. Where a purchase is involved, the seller of record is Paddle.com Market Ltd, which sells the licence to you in its own name and is responsible for the transaction, invoicing and applicable taxes. Paddle's buyer terms apply to the purchase itself; these terms apply to the software.

Your licence

You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Alfredo on Macs you own or control. For the free blocks of functionality there is no limit on how many machines that is.

A paid subscription works on up to three Macs at a time. Linking a fourth one is refused rather than silently unlinking another; you free a slot yourself, in Settings → Account, from any of your linked Macs. Reinstalling on the same Mac does not consume an extra slot unless you erase the machine first.

The three current blocks of functionality — launching apps, file search and clipboard history — are free, and will remain free, including improvements made to them later. This is a commitment, not a description of the current price list.

Entirely new blocks of functionality added in future may require a paid subscription. Whether a new block is paid or free will be stated before it ships, and no block that was free will become paid.

What you may not do

Alfredo is closed source. The copyright and all other rights in it stay with the author; this licence does not transfer ownership of anything.

Subscriptions

Where a subscription exists, it renews automatically at the interval and price shown at checkout until you cancel it. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the subscription runs to the end of the period already paid for. You can cancel at any time through the customer portal linked from your receipt, or by writing to us.

If a payment fails or a subscription ends, paid functionality switches off after a grace period. Free functionality is unaffected and keeps working — that includes the case where our licence server is unreachable, or gone entirely.

Refunds are covered on the refund policy page.

Updates

Alfredo checks for updates and can install them automatically; both behaviours can be turned off in Settings. Updates may change or remove functionality, though nothing free will be moved behind a payment.

No warranty

Alfredo is provided as is. It is a tool that indexes files and stores clipboard history, and like any software it can contain defects. It is not a backup system: do not rely on the clipboard history as the only copy of anything that matters to you.

To the extent permitted by law, there is no warranty of any kind, and liability for indirect or consequential loss is excluded. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for Alfredo in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits your statutory rights as a consumer, which in the EU are considerable and which we are not trying to take away.

Ending the agreement

You may stop using Alfredo at any time by deleting it. We may end the licence if these terms are seriously breached — for example by redistributing the app or circumventing licence checks.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. The revision date above shows when that last happened. For material changes affecting an active subscription, we will write to the address on file before they take effect.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Spain. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country, and you may bring proceedings in your own courts. The European Commission's online dispute resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
